I think the Keyword are what I'm most interested in. 1. like does vehicle or monster let you move and fire heavy weapons with no penalty? 2. Beast V cavalry v infantry - it looks like only infantry can get cover for being in area terrain, any benefits coming up for beast or cavalry? 3. Do they have a recommended point value for game play beyond the one in the leak 4. Are there ANY limits to who can hit the table together, right now it just says the formation must all be the same faction but you can take 2,3,4+ formations based on points. But can I have 1000 pts of orks in a formation and 1000 pts of elder in a formation and still be legal? 5. Is there a model number limit at certian point levels? right now it looks like model number is the scoring factor so why not bring 900 grots and some HQ and never lose. 6.Are there any Command point abilities beyond what we have seen with the "basic three" and some scenario specific ones 7. How many pages long is this book that will cost $70 and looks like 25 pgs of rules in total? 1. nope... only exceptions to this rule are for specific dataslates... everyone else is subject to it. 2. haven't seen any benefits for beast or cavalry... or weirdly enough a list of keywords and what each means... it's really weird.... I'm assuming the keywords are mostly for how dataslates interact with one another??? 3. it gives a chart for organized event guidelines with point limits, number of detachments, battlefield size and game length up to 1,000 up to 2 per army 4x4 up to 2 hours 1,001 - 2,000 up to 3 per army 6x4 2-3 hours 2,001 - 3,000 up to 4 per army 8x4 3 or more hours 4. you must share a faction keyword to be played together... sorry taudar, you is gone 5. there is no model limit. If you want to buy 900 grots go ahead, I'm sure Nexus would be fine with that, but given you take battleshock for all casualties you take in the turn, those grots may end up being nothing pretty quick! 6. the basic three are for all games, however most of the additional missions (there are a LOT) add different strategems... and the battlezones (which are super cool) add more that can only be used with them. It's really tailored to the landscape and the mission you're playing. 7. 25 pages... lol..... yeah.... this hardcover is 281 pages... index is one page... that is why this is so damn slow! The first half of the book is fluff, pictures, story... the rest is content.

1. Command Points and the additional "ways to build" the army. I'm interested in the unreleased command structure as well as some of the Death Guard specific army building/command points. 2. What does/does not bypass mortal wounds. Necron reanimation? Disgustingly resilient? Mortal wounds are you take a wound, no saves; but... both of those rules for Crons and Nurgle only come into play after you've taken a wound. 3. Thematic ways to play. I'm just generally interested in this as I think it would lend itself to a bunch of cool batreps and would like to know more. (Yes, I did click.) 1. kind of also includes your point three, as open and narrative play use the power points, matched is the ONLY version that uses points. The detachments in the base rulebook are patrol, battalion, brigade, vanguard, spearhead, outrider, supreme command, super heavy, air wing, super heavy auxiliary, fortification and the auxiliary support detachment. Given you are freely allowed to mix and match these, the combinations are pretty much endless (in fact they encourage mixing these within an army). no command point structure stuff in the small book for death guard, but might be in the index. The contagion discipline is in there though! 2. mortal wounds - excess damage is not lost - it's the only damage that carries over to other models! (doesn't just really kill one guardsman really bad). no wound roll, no saves of any kind. Disgustingly resilient is what happens after you specifically have lost a wound (from any source) so still works, necrons just bring back the dead so still work. 3. oh man, there's a TON of this stuff in there... narrative play, lots of missions, specific benefits/battlefield effects of the battlezone you play on (with extra strategems)... this is a really, really cool part of the book.

Do flyers start on the table like everything else? yep, and if they leave the table they're destroyed or have "abandoned the battle" so no flying off and on, you're either on the table or in reserve. That's it. If any unit leaves the table, unless it has a special rule to do so (mawloc re-burrowing for example) it's destroyed!

Any difficult or dangerous terrain mechanics or were those just slow and not very important so they were left out.

Any difficult or dangerous terrain mechanics or were those just slow and not very important so they were left out. no difficult or dangerous terrain... just affected by the type of terrain you're in charging through woods or craters is -2" moving across an obstacle (tank traps/tanglewire) is half movement for advancing and charging.

Okay so much more quick and simple to keep track of. That seems like a good step forward since the old rules were slow and dangerous terrain was a joke. maybe 1 model a game if you were really trying.

should also add...
- you don't have to charge what you shot - everything can split fire.

Do units gain cover for shooting through units?

Do units gain cover for shooting through units? nope
only for being entirely in terrain. like all the models. And ruins do NOT provide better cover.
if you're not infantry you don't get the cover bonus unless you're 50% obscured.
....and big sigh.... venomthrope ability doesn't work for the MC's....

Ya again this feel like they are pressing for 50% of any given army to be infantry. You need them to score ( model numbers), they actually get to use terrain to improve saves, etc
Looks like we are going to see some good old foot slogging, since a lot of base transports are 70-100 pts!

I have a question. Not sure if it's the rulebook or not.
The costs per model say without war gear and then you add the war gear. Now if you replace war gear do you pay for the original and then pay for what you are replacing it with? Or just pay the cost of the replacement weapon?
