I'm not so sure about him not being an AoE threat. The Toxic Presence ability alludes to him counting the turn as 4 for the range of his Contagion abilities. If I had to guess, it'd be a pestilent cloud ability that "chokes" the board the longer the game has gone on.
The Bubonic Astartes keyword is equally interesting, and I am glad that he still has the horde clearing profile on his scythe.
EDIT: I'm similarly SUPER interested to know what's up with those plague furnace looking things.

I mean, that scythe is pretty much the size of a battle tank. With hot-dice it's clearly capable of slicing a land raider in half in a single fight phase.
I'm definitely in agreement with Voodoo. It's gunna be similar to the Dark Eldar Combat Drugs table where you get a stacking bonus that gets better and better the longer the game goes on. It's all that sweat buildup from combat. Makes them even more disgusting than they started as.

AOS has an escalating tide of nurgle which gives different effects depending on what level it's at. Probably something similar, as a LOT of 9th edition changes were yet more AOS ports (ie: command phase is straight from AOS)

yeah but he better hit like a tonne of bricks because without those wounds per phase limits, everyone and their grandma will be shooting him with everything they got. lol

Because he's a psyker that shoots and does melee. Not to mention that Contagion ability which probably messes things up even further.

Not surprising there's a mismatch.
The only 25 power unit the Necrons have is the T.Vault and Morty would bend that thing over his knee. Even the Silent King would have to ace his invul rolls to survive a round of combat (even though the King would be swinging first due to his ability).

wow reaping scythe, 21 attacks plus the d6 extra from claws. good luck trying to bog him down with cheap guys That's 8 attacks 24 on the charge cause he is a marine. I dont see "death to the false emperor" which is good cause that could get out of hand.

Supposedly, Remorseless (a la Angels of Death from Space Marines) is going to contain Death to the False Emperor, Malicious Volleys, and Hateful Assault. Although rumours also hold that Death Guard may be losing Hateful Assault - you might notice every datasheet previewed thus far includes an extra Attack, so you could say it's built in.

An extra attack is way better than an extra attack on 1st round of combat.
Still they are looking very solid

www.youtube.com/watch?v=gy0LWWmap6EDisgustingly Resilient MASSIVELY nerfed. It's Duty Eternal now. TLDR: DR = Reduce Damage by 1 to minimum of 1. No longer works against Mortal Wounds, Damage 1 weapons. Is better vs Damage 2, D3 or 3 Weapons, strictly worse against anything else, especially on usual suspects like Daemon Engines and Princes

I mean, I get it; Death Guard were able to shrug off WAY too much firepower. This makes their vehicles much, much less resilient to proper AT fire, but will do an arguably better job of shielding them against a plethora of D2 weapons now; whereas D3 weapons "force" the old statistical chance of 33% being saved. Maybe Plague Marines won't be going up in points in the new book as much as I thought. If they can be mortaled off the board like everyone else, then they just lost a lot of durability.
