I do find it weird that Kirby has little models in the corners of the pages. It seems like a weird thing for GW to put in their books. But I’m with Shannon on this. It’s likely a lawyers thing. Since the book ships in 3 weeks. You would think it is printed.
I do feel sad (a little bit) for Tim, and the lack of DE leaks....
I do also find it weird that an overload can not take a phylactery. And the only unit that can is a Destoryer Lord. That seems like a weird final printing thing.
Also noticed flayed ones dropped in price but lost 1 attack and changed their fear rule.

Initial take a ways, There are some powerful Stratgems in that army. But they have no way to get CP back. So you have to be wise on how your going to use them. I was wrong. Sautekh warlord trait allows refunds. It’s the same as Cadia. Good to know they are on the same train of thought.

It seems like a weird thing for GW to put in their books. he probably took screenshots from super wargamer's youtube video leak. hence, the little cryptek animation at the bottom. unless you're referring to something else? i also agree with the nanoscarab casket relic. it's basically the only reason to bring a destroyer lord now. 131 points for a destroyer lord with warscythe that heals d3 wounds on both your turn and your opponents, and a revive. in fact, he has two revives with the stratagem. might be a nightmare to take down.

A beta codex? Seems strange since i thought it was coming out soon. I do like the tomb blades, two telsa carbines each. Squad of 9 getting 4 shots each. So 36 shots with the potential of getting more with my will be done. I feel though that's still crazy expensive at 32 pts a model. Can get them even more expensive with more upgrades. Still nothing stands out as amazing though but i havent looked into the index so i dont know all the rules changes. tomb blades used to be 42 points per model, with a 3+ armor save costing 6 points and a 5+ invul costing 5 points. now they're 32 points a model, with a 3+ armor saving costing 3 points and a 5+ invul costing 5 points. a huge points decrease, along with their new -1 to hit. 2 immortals are 34 points, while a tomb blade with only armor is 35 points. for 1 point you get the speed to get into rapid fire range, the fly keyword, and +1 toughness. they might be the best thing in our codex. i think our most improved units are tomb blades, destroyers, and doomsday arks. somebody on dakka dakka did a points per wound calculation on our anti-vehicle units (destroyers, heavy destroyers, DDA, doom scythe (lol)), and 6 destroyers with extermination protocols was the most efficient! and they got 13 points cheaper! i don't think i'm really going to take heavy destroyers, even to embed them into a destroyer unit 3 strength 6 ap-3 d3 damage shots seems better to me. our flyers are still a joke though. even with sautekh, the doom scythe can only fire its heavy weapons without penalty if it advanced. but sautekh treats your weapons as assault if you advance so...it still has a -1 to hit?

The community page has information on the new Cryptek from forgebane. The rules are word for word from the leak.

Well one thing's for sure, there is absolutely no point in bringing Spyders ever again since unlike them cloak-equipped Crypteks are characters and can't be targeted.
Though I admit cloak-teks are probably going to be rare unless you're bringing a ton of tomb blades (so they can keep up) or multiple vehicles.

You could still use spyders the Crypteks ability enhances living metal. The spyder simply heals it D3 wounds. They are separate things. Technically you could have a vehicle heal 6 wounds in one turn.

Sure but how long are those things going to last on the battlefield if the enemy has any sort of long-ranged weaponry? They're just T6 W4 and 3+ save models after all. That's not going to last long if the enemy wants to ensure as little healing as possible is done on the vehicles. As has often been said: shoot the medic first.

if you look closely at the forgebane rules for wraiths, their vicious claws are at a -2 ap, but their damage is 1. Their power level is also 6, which is what it is in the index (beta codex says it's 9). Also, their points cost is the same as the index (which is 38). They also keep their fall back and charge ability. www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQj_Q5C2CUQ&t=440make sure to put the video on 1080p. I think I prefer wraiths like this compared to the beta rules. cheaper at 38 points, -2 ap is an improvement to their offensive capabilities compared to the index. still a very solid unit whose purpose is to tie things up and be a bullet magnet. And they can fall back and charge, meaning you can't just charge a rhino at them and they're forever wasted.

It’s likely the same as the index because the codex isn’t released. Yet.

Hmm, 10 warriors, 5 immortals, 3 scarabs, a lord, an overlord and a barge.
On one hand, nice that they moved away from the 12 warriors thing. On the other, I've never found that much use for A.Barges.
